Architectural Designer II

BKV Group seeks an intermediate Architectural Designer to join our team. We’re looking for someone with a proactive and positive attitude and excellent organizational skills who seeks to thrive and work effectively in a highly collaborative environment. Ideally, we are looking for a well-rounded designer with experience working in all phases of a variety of either Multi-family (e.g. Market-Rate, Affordable, Student Housing and/or Senior Living) or civic Government (e.g. Fire and Police Stations, Courthouses, City Halls, etc.) project types.

• Work with the Project Manager or Senior Project Architect in planning the layout of projects including determination of functional and spatial requirements and assists in preparing information regarding design, specifications, materials, color, and equipment.
• Prepare project plans (scaled drawings) using computer assisted design software and equipment. Drafting using Revit.
• Support the project team during construction administration phase – submittal reviews, ASIs, answering RFIs, etc.
• Create 3D computer models using Google SketchUp or similar programs.
• Assist team members with presentation boards and/or hand-outs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Architecture.
• 4 – 8 years of experience in architecture.
• Ability to initiate and develop design studies.
• Strong design and graphic skills, and the ability to communicate design effectively.
• Proficiency in Revit, Rhino, Adobe Suite, Office Suite.

Compensation range: $75,000 – $85,000 annually, or commensurate with experience.
