Overview The Cardiac Device Clinic Specialist is responsible for all aspects of education, care, and triage for patients with implanted devices, including interrogation and interpretation of electronic cardiac activity.
Qualifications Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA); Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician (CRAT) within 18 months - Cardiovascular Credentialing International; Certified Cardiac Device Specialist (CCDS) within 18 months - International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE) Education: Associate's Degree: Nursing or Associate's Degree: Sonography Work Experience: Related field 3+ years
Responsibilities Interrogation of an implanted device; patient education regarding device function; interpretation of cardiac waveforms in relation to implanted device (remote monitoring); resources for providers and staff regarding implanted device; understand and resource the technical components of downloading, interpreting, and disseminating patient remote interrogation information including but not limited to: education to patients, resource to the vendors, and liaison to the providers.Performs Pacerlink Checks on Implanted Devices Troubleshoots devices / Interrogations to determine feasibility of currently implanted device Communicates to all team members and provides feedback to providers Manages Device clinic worklist Interdisciplinary Team Member with EP Ambulatory RN's for consistency in patient care

Compensation and Benefits The compensation range for this position is $30.02per hour - $51.63per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
