Overview: The Program Manager owns commercial and aerospace customer programs from launch through final delivery. This role coordinates engineering, operations, supply chain, and quality to meet customer specifications, delivery commitments, and cost targets. The Program Manager serves as a primary point of contact for assigned customers, tracks program performance, resolves issues, and improves processes using Athena’s 2 Second Lean practices.

Key Responsibilities: (include but not limited to): Essential duties and functions, pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, include and are not limited to the following:

• Develop and maintain program plans, milestones, schedules, budgets, and resource requirements for assigned commercial and aerospace programs.
• Coordinate work across engineering, operations, supply chain, and quality; clarify priorities, dependencies, and deliverables to keep programs on track.
• Monitor program progress, costs, risks, and key performance measures; identify variances and lead timely corrective actions or escalations.
• Communicate program status, changes, and commitments clearly to customers and internal stakeholders; maintain productive customer relationships.
• Confirm that program deliverables meet customer requirements and applicable quality, contractual, and delivery expectations.
• Lead program meetings, document decisions and action items, and follow through on commitments through final delivery.
• Identify and implement practical 2 Second Lean improvements that reduce waste and improve program execution.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by leadership.

Qualifications: Minimum Preferred Qualifications, pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, include and are not limited to the following:

• High school diploma or GED; bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Experience coordinating manufacturing projects or customer programs preferred; at least two years of related experience is beneficial.
• Ability to manage schedules, budgets, priorities, and multiple deadlines with sound judgment and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication, customer relationship, and cross functional coordination skills.
• Comfort with personal computers and Microsoft Office; ability to learn reporting, estimating, and manufacturing or inventory systems. Experience with SQL reports, Micro Estimating, M2M, or SFM is a plus.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced manufacturing environment and lead problem solving across teams.

Physical Requirements: Essential physical requirements pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, include and are not limited to the following:

• Strength — (Light)- Exert up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Physical demands are in excess of those of Sedentary work. Light work usually requires walking or standing to a significant degree.
• Movement- climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling
• Auditory- talking and hearing
• Vision-near acuity, far acuity, depth perception
• Environment conditions and physical surroundings-noise, vibration, atmospheric conditions

Preferred Tools and Technology:

• Personal computers
• Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
• SQL or reporting tools (training provided)
• Estimating software
• ERP / Warehouse / Inventory systems (M2M, SFM)
• Comfortable with technology; coachable and open to learning

Required clothing and PPE: Attire should not interfere with job performance or safety .

• Non-prescription safety glasses are provided by Athena
• Closed toe safety shoes are required
