We're working a minimum of 5 days a week onsite as part of our commitment to fostering a culture of professional growth and cross-functional collaboration as we work together to engineer the extraordinary.Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:Sets up and operates a variety of machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, planers, and precision grinders to make metal parts, mechanisms, tools, or machines to exacting tolerances and dimensions.Interprets blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications; determines sequence of operations, number of cuts required, and method of setup; uses a variety of machinist's hand tools and precision measuring instruments; makes standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work, tooling, feeds, and speeds; measures, marks, and scribes dimensions and reference points to lay out stock for machining; fits and assembles precision parts into mechanical equipment and determines material, parts, and equipment required.May modify numerically controlled programs on numerically controlled (NC) machines.May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.Shifts Available:2nd shift: 3pm-11pm Monday-Friday3rd shift: 11pm-7am Sunday-ThursdayMust Have: Minimum RequirementsRequires broad knowledge of manufacturing or supply chain operational procedures, systems, and tools gained through experience and/or relevant training, education, or certifications.Requires 3+ years of related experience, which may include a combination of practical experience and applicable training, education, or certification.No minimum education requirement.Nice to HaveExperience with CNC Lathe/MillFamiliarity with machine controls, PLCs, or basic automation systemsAbility to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawingsStrong understanding of GD&T and precision measurement toolsExperience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issuesFamiliarity with preventive maintenance and machine calibrationExperience working with tight tolerances and high-precision partsKnowledge of tooling selection, fixture setup, and process optimizationPrior experience supporting production lines or manufacturing equipment uptimeAbility to train or mentor junior machinists or operatorsStrong communication skills for working with engineering, maintenance, and production teamsFamiliarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practicesExperience documenting work instructions, setup procedures, or troubleshooting stepsComfort working in a regulated or quality-driven environmentAbility to adapt quickly to changing production prioritiesFor Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.Physical Job RequirementsThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position, but they are not an exhaustive list of all the required responsibilities and skills of this position.
