Lead I&C Engineer - Water & Wastewater (Hybrid)

The Opportunity In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Manage and coordinate marketing, planning, design and construction phase services for automation, instrumentation, control and SCADA projects for water and wastewater utilities. Interface with client representatives and reflect client preferences on deliverables. Lead execution and take overall responsibility for I&C design projects as well as coordinate I&C engineering efforts for large multi-discipline projects. Represent I&C by attending client and contractor meetings, performing field investigations, attending factory acceptance testing and helping to resolve I&C client and construction issues. Monitor and control project schedule and budgets and assist with proposals and presentations in response to sales opportunities. The Team You will be part of BV Operations, working on projects that support our Water/Industrial Water market sector. The Instrumentation & Control Department specializes in instrumentation, control systems, wireless communications, networks, and cybersecurity for all BV Market Sectors and Solutions. The team provides a full range of services including consulting, master planning, assessments, conceptual design, detailed design, EPC, design-build, construction support, field services, testing, commissioning, resident engineering, staff augmentation, training, on‑call services, and system implementation, configuration, and programming. Preferred Qualifications Excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated management capabilities, I&C design experience, and broad I&C technical knowledge. Four years of experience in instrumentation, control, and automation design consulting. Four years of experience in the water/wastewater industry. Two years of experience in project management and business development. Minimum Qualifications Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from a recognized accredited program in the applicant’s home country or the country in which the professional is practicing. Minimum of five years of related work experience. Additional Requirements Professional Engineer (P.E.) preferred, or in active pursuit of such registration. Work Environment and Schedule This position requires a typical office environment with prolonged periods of sitting and computer use; the professional should maintain focus and attention to detail throughout the workday. Physical tasks during site visits may be required, including crouching, grasping, and standing/walking for extended periods. Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days based on manager discretion, job performance, and work assignments.
