Why This Respiratory Therapist Role Is Different This position stands out due to its strong focus on pediatric respiratory care, which represents approximately 30% of the patient population. It offers a unique opportunity to apply and develop specialized clinical skills while maintaining a balanced schedule between in-branch coordination and field-based care. The role also provides exposure to a diverse urban patient base within the metro Atlanta area. Key Highlights Work Arrangement: On-site; 70% office / 30% field Travel Coverage: Metro Atlanta area (up to ~80 miles) Reimbursements: Mileage of $0.70, parking, tolls Hours: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM Salary range $31 - $42 per hour. Compensation offered may vary based on job-related factors such as experience, skills, education and location. On-Call transparency Rotation every 4–6 weeks What you’ll do Conduct home visits to perform oxygen, CPAP/BiPAP, and ventilation equipment setups and follow‑ups Provide care for both adult and pediatric patients (pediatric cases ~30%) Educate patients and caregivers on equipment use, cleaning, troubleshooting, and maintenance Assess patient needs, document care delivered, and escalate concerns appropriately Respond to hospital discharge requests and support patient needs Collaborating with physicians, case managers, and internal branch teams Maintain accurate documentation using iPad/laptop Set up and operate various types of respiratory care equipment, including, but not limited to, oxygen therapy, nebulization therapy, apnea monitoring, suctioning, PAP, invasive and non-invasive ventilation Inspects and tests equipment to ensure proper operating condition Perform clinical assessments and tests such as pulse oximetry, ETCO2, spirometry and gathering vital signs Performs other duties as required What we look for Registered Respiratory Therapist with an active GA RT license. Experience in pediatric respiratory care (required). Ability to stand, lift, push and/or pull objects ranging from 10 – 50 lbs. Valid driver's license Comfortable using mobile technology, navigation tools, and digital documentation Education Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program. Certificates, licenses, registrations or professional designations Hold a current RCP license in the state of practice (or states that the location covers) if that state requires an RCP license to allow the practice of respiratory therapy Hold a current CPR Certification Hold all applicable licensure in good standing for all states of practice If you feel this opportunity could be the next step in your career, we encourage you to apply!
