About the Role:

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement recreational therapy programs that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of our residents
• Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify areas of improvement and develop personalized care plans
• Collaborate with healthcare teams, including occupational therapists, physical therapists, and speech therapists, to ensure comprehensive care
• Plan and lead recreational activities, such as arts and crafts, music therapy, and outdoor activities
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of patient progress and therapy sessions
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and treatment plans

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in recreational therapy or related field preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience working with older adults and individuals with cognitive impairments
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and move safely in a healthcare environment
