Dental Hygienist (RDH) – Full-Time Sacramento River Dental Group Location: Sacramento, CA Schedule: Monday – Thursday | 6:45 AM – 4:45 PM Compensation: $58–$63 per hour (Hourly) Employment Type: Full-Time About Us Sacramento River Dental Group is a growing, patient-focused dental practice with a close-knit team of two doctors and two hygienists. While we currently operate at a steady pace, we are actively working to grow our patient base through referrals and exceptional service. Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and patient-centered Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join our team. This role focuses on delivering exceptional preventative and clinical care while educating patients on maintaining optimal oral health. Key Responsibilities Clinical & Preventative Care Conduct patient screenings, including oral health history, head and neck exams, and periodontal charting Identify signs of oral cancer and gum disease Perform dental cleanings (prophylaxis), including removal of plaque, tartar, and stains Apply preventative treatments such as fluoride and sealants Take and develop dental X-rays to support diagnosis Patient Education & Counseling Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques tailored to individual needs Provide nutritional guidance related to oral health Deliver post-treatment care instructions and ongoing oral health maintenance guidance Documentation & Office Support Accurately document clinical findings, treatment plans, and patient progress Maintain strict infection control and sterilization protocols Collaborate with dentists to communicate findings and assist with procedures as needed Qualifications Required: Active Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license Laser certification ( required ) Current CPR certification Preferred: New graduates are welcome to apply – we are happy to train the right candidate Benefits Benefits offered are consistent with ADC standards Work Environment Small, supportive team environment Two doctors and two hygienists currently on staff Steady workflow with growth opportunities Focus on building long-term patient relationships through referrals Additional Information We are looking for someone who is motivated, team-oriented, and excited to grow with our practice.
