New Homestead Low Rent Housing Agency is seeking a part-time Assistant to the Executive Director to assist in the day-to-day-management of the low-income public housing program. The position consists of approximately 25-30 hours per week, 8am-2pm (some flexibility of hours may be possible), Monday thru Friday. The selected candidate will be responsible for assisting the Executive Director with the Housing Authority's operations, including property management, planning, budgeting/finance, and implementation of policies and procedures, and maintenance of 71 public housing units and 2 non-PHA units. Candidate must be self-motivated, possess strong organizational and communication skills, and able to handle a wide range of administrative and accounting responsibilities. Eligible applicants with a passion and dedication to assisting families with affordable housing is desired. Experience in accounting is preferred but not required.
