Job Title

RN – Perioperative Services – Surgery (Epic)

Contract | Day Shift | Full-Time | 5 x 8-Hour Shifts | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct perioperative nursing care to surgical patients throughout the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases
• Utilize Epic EMR system for accurate and timely clinical documentation throughout the patient care continuum
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety, proper surgical site preparation, and adherence to sterile technique
• Support EMR conversion activities as part of an Epic implementation initiative
• Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate surgical scheduling and patient care

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California or compact licensure eligibility
• Current, hands-on Epic EMR experience (within the last 5 years)
• Cerner EMR experience within the last 5 years
• Operating Room or Perioperative Services nursing experience
• Detailed work history documenting specific EMR systems used per position, including date ranges if multiple systems were used within a single role
• Ability to commit to a firm start date with no time off requests (RTO) during the contract period

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience working through an Epic EMR conversion or system go-live
• Strong familiarity with surgical workflows and perioperative protocols
• History of successfully completing travel or contract nursing assignments
