Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (18:45–07:15) | Variable Start Times: 7:00, 9:00 | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing a range of surgical procedures, including trauma, neuro, vascular, and orthopedic cases
• Participate in on-call rotation distributed equally among all nursing staff; on-call may include up to 6–8 shifts per 6-week period, covering nights, evenings, and weekends (8-hour shifts)
• Float between like units as needed within the contracted facility and potentially to nearby sister facilities
• May be required to cover night shifts as needed throughout the contract
• Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
• Commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in California; compact license must be in hand at time of submission — pending licenses not accepted
• Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room experience required, with demonstrated experience in trauma, neuro, vascular, and orthopedic surgical services
• BLS certification required
• Weekend availability required
• All RTO and specific scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of candidate submission; post-submission RTO may not be considered or granted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience working in a high-volume acute care OR environment
• Familiarity with Epic charting system
• Experience floating between similar units or sister facilities
• First-time travelers are accepted
