Respiratory Therapist - PRN

Role: Provides respiratory care, oxygen therapy, diagnostic testing, and ventilation support to patients of all ages, ensuring optimal patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities Performs routine and advanced therapeutic procedures according to established policies. Monitors and manages oxygen therapy and artificial ventilation, including weaning processes. Analyzes and reports arterial blood gases and EKGs, assisting with diagnostic assessments. Assists with airway management, including changing artificial airways. Educates patients and staff on procedures, treatment plans, and safety protocols. Maintains accurate documentation of clinical activities and patient information. Ensures compliance with regulatory standards and maintains professional certifications. Participates in staff meetings and ongoing professional development. Qualifications And Skills Associate's Degree in a related field. Current state license as a Respiratory Therapist. Credentialed as a Certified Respiratory Therapist by the National Board of Respiratory Care. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) for NICU roles; ACLS within 90 days of hire. Proficiency with computer applications, data entry, and effective communication skills. Strong analytical and interpersonal skills. Work Environment & Demands: Performs duties in patient care areas, involving exposure to blood, body fluids, and potentially communicable diseases.
