Shipping and Receiving ClerkThe Shipping and Receiving Clerk will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient flow of goods within the warehouse. This position involves sorting incoming parts, palletizing boxes, and operating pallet jacks. The role includes boxing, taping, foaming, light assembly, and proper application of labels to meet production and customer requirements. The clerk will be responsible for stocking parts and supplies, maintaining organized work areas, and assisting with basic cycle-counting activities. Additionally, the use of hand and power tools for hose assembly work and adherence to safety guidelines for staging and storing materials is required.ResponsibilitiesSort incoming parts and palletize boxes for efficient warehouse operations.Operate pallet jacks safely to support warehouse flow.Perform boxing, taping, foaming, and light assembly to meet production requirements.Apply labels accurately to products and packages.Stock parts and supplies and maintain organized work areas.Assist with basic cycle-counting activities as needed.Utilize hand and power tools for hose assembly work.Dispose of refuse and follow housekeeping standards.Ensure all materials are staged and stored according to safety guidelines.Essential SkillsExperience in production and assembly tasks.Proficiency in shipping and receiving operations.Ability to work with hand and power tools.Competency in work instruction and using tape measures.Mechanical aptitude and understanding of blueprints and schematics.Ability to perform inventory tasks and work in light industry settings.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to check parts, packaging, and finished goods for defects and compliance.Comfort using simple production equipment such as tape machines and foam dispensers.Proficiency in using scanners, inventory systems, and label-printing software.Capability to stand for long periods, lift boxes up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks safely.Why Work Here?Employees can expect room for growth and great benefits once hired directly.
