The manager attends contractors’ project meetings, maintains accurate records of meetings, schedules, and requests, manages a project budget, and brings the project in at the dollars and hours allotted to the job. You interact with district sales staff to confirm labor estimates on new and retrofit projects, generate project change orders and secure signatures, anticipate and identify problems early and implement solutions, collect project invoices and resolve disputes, monitor district performance, resolve problems, fine‑tune plans to changing conditions, and report difficulties. You assure compliance with project closeout requirements, AHJ approvals, customer training and closeout documentation. How You Will Do It Assist in proposal activities, selection of subcontractors, maintain project documentation, control equipment allocation, and keep a project manual. Retain copies of contracts, change orders, special commitments, ship dates, completion dates and other elements necessary to monitor the project. Maintain a set of reports and working drawings where applicable, consulting with local building and wiring inspectors, working with owner/customers. Conduct construction meetings, maintain safety program, arrange equipment delivery, scheduling and change‑order management and project close‑out documentation. Communicate workforce requirements to the Construction Superintendent in order to meet construction schedules. Required Bachelor's degree or associate’s degree, or equivalent work experience of at least three years At least two years of previous related experience managing staff, customers, and contractors NICET Level II certification in at least one field must be obtained within two years of employment Must have sprinkler experience Must be familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures Computer literate – Windows Applications with emphasis in spreadsheets Excellent written and verbal communication and outstanding customer service skills are necessary Requires good interpersonal skills, along with effective writing, speaking and presentation skills Demonstrated management/leadership abilities to include training, team building, presentation and negotiation skills, branch administration and effective interaction with customer/company management Available for local travel Preferred Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, or equivalent with five years of experience Seven years of industry experience with sprinkler layout, hydraulic calculations, and installation of complex sprinkler systems desired At least four years’ previous related experience managing staff, customers, and contractors Project Management experience with a proven track record Project Management Institute, (Project Management Professional) certification Experience in preparing reports for upper management regarding status of project. Computer fluency in Windows, Excel, and other Purchasing experience preferred Salary Range HIRING SALARY RANGE: $85,200 – $117,250. (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) This role offers a competitive sales commission plan that will take into account project, quarterly, and annual margin. This position includes a competitive benefits package.
