State of Golf NC is Durham's premier indoor golf simulator lounge and cocktail bar at American Tobacco Campus. We bring together Full Swing simulator technology and a genuine hospitality experience that's fun for everyone, whether you're a scratch golfer or picking up a club for the first time. We're a small, close-knit team that cares about doing things well and making every visit memorable.
The Role
We're looking for a part-time Bay Host and Bartender to join our team. You'll work both behind the bar and on the floor, keeping guests happy, bays running smoothly, and the overall vibe exactly where it should be. If you're a people person who can hustle during a busy shift and genuinely enjoys creating a great experience, we'd love to meet you.
Key Responsibilities
• Serve drinks and snacks in a friendly, efficient manner
• Set up guests on Full Swing simulators and guide them through gameplay
• Manage reservations, check-ins, and bookings using our POS system
• Upsell memberships, rounds, and experiences naturally as part of the conversation
• Assist with simulator troubleshooting to keep things running smoothly
• Keep the bar and bay areas clean, organized, and guest-ready at all times
• Handle transactions and assist with inventory management
• Help create a fun, welcoming atmosphere where guests want to stay and come back
What We're Looking For
• Experience in bartending or customer service (preferred)
• Willingness to learn Full Swing simulators and our booking software
• Basic golf knowledge or genuine enthusiasm to pick it up
• Strong communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
• 21+ and comfortable in a friendly, social environment
• Evening and weekend shifts required
