Miles Chevrolet in Decatur, IL is seeking a dynamic and experienced Automotive General Sales Manager to lead our sales team and drive business growth. This role demands strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a passion for the automotive industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all sales activities, developing strategies to increase revenue, and ensuring exceptional customer service standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage and motivate the sales team to achieve or exceed sales targets.
• Develop and implement effective sales strategies and marketing activities.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the purchasing department to ensure optimal stock levels.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers, addressing their needs and resolving any issues promptly.
• Prepare regular sales performance reports and forecast future sales trends.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and all relevant laws and regulations.
• Recruit, train, and mentor sales staff to ensure high levels of performance and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a General Sales Manager or in a similar sales leadership role within the automotive industry.
• Strong knowledge of automotive sales, inventory management, and dealership operations.
• Exceptional leadership and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to analyze sales metrics and develop actionable strategies.
• Proficiency with dealership management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
