Staff Physician - Advanced & General Gastroenterology Opportunities

ResponsibilitiesNORTON GASTROENTEROLOGY CONSULTANTS OF LOUISVILLE, Kentucky, is recruiting full-time board-certified or board-eligible physicians specializing in general and advanced gastroenterology to join its growing practice. Established more than 30 years ago, this group is an integral part of Norton Medical Group, the employed physician practice division of Norton Healthcare. Our multidisciplinary team works collaboratively with hospitalists, intensivists and emergency department physicians at all four of Norton Healthcare’s adult-service hospitals in Louisville. Small bowel capsule endoscopy, breath testing and SmartPill technology are availableADVANCED GASTROENTEROLOGYAdvanced gastroenterology fellowship training preferredExperience in endoscopic ultrasound, single-balloon enteroscopy and endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatographyThe physician is responsible for recording a detailed medical history of each patient in the electronic medical record, including, but not limited to, chief complaint, present condition, individual history, and family history. Performing appropriate physical examination of each patient. Analyzing reports and/or findings of tests and personal examinations in order to assess the medical condition of the patient, including diagnosing the patient's injury or illness and formulating a prognosis.QualificationsRequired:Doctorate DegreeOne of: DO or MD
