The Dental Hygienist plays a crucial role in maintaining patient oral health through preventive care and education. Working individually yet collaboratively reporting to the dentist, the hygienist assesses patients, cleans teeth, performs X-rays, and provides periodontal therapy while ensuring strict infection control and accurate patient records. This role demands a thorough understanding of dental hygiene practices and the ability to work independently within a dental care team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' oral health and identify issues
• Perform thorough teeth cleaning and polishing
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care
• Conduct dental X-ray imaging as required
• Provide periodontal therapy and treatment
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
• Ensure infection control and sterilize dental equipment
• Prepare patients for dental procedures
• Collaborate with the dentist regarding patient care

Required Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in dental hygiene
• Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license
