Registered Nurse II

Position Description The Registered Nurse II is responsible for providing direct or indirect professional nursing services in a variety of settings. This includes nursing assessments, planning, interventions, evaluation, health‑related education, case management, and execution of the medical regimen, including administration of medications and treatments prescribed by any authorized prescriber under state law. Position Responsibilities / Essential Functions Assess health status of individuals, families, and communities; develop plans and implement appropriate nursing interventions. Evaluate and determine health resources necessary to meet individual, family, and community health needs. Deliver professional nursing care in assigned units, clinics, homes, or other settings. Educate individuals, families, communities, and members of the health care team about disease prevention and health promotion. Provide supervision to other professional or paraprofessional personnel and collaborate with other professionals in health care management. Delegate tasks that may safely be performed by others, consistent with education and the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act. Ensure quality health care through record review, peer review, direct observation, and assessment of outcomes. Perform specialized nursing functions as educationally prepared. Maintain presence at the office as an essential function of the job. Perform other duties as assigned. Other Duties Demonstrate knowledge of and support mission, vision, values, standards, policies, and procedures. Work effectively in a team environment, participating and assisting peers. Qualifications Valid Oklahoma registered nurse license approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing or recognized by the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC) and one year of professional nursing experience. Or, a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and a valid permanent Oklahoma RN license or eNLC recognition. Valued Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practice, and techniques; health promotion; disease prevention; nursing management of resources; nutrition and diet therapy; and functions of clinical departments. Ability to develop, organize, and implement effective nursing care plans; provide education and training; assess conditions and needs; intervene and counsel; and direct non‑licensed personnel to ensure quality care. Physical Demands and Work Environment Work typically performed in an office setting with moderate noise levels. Required to talk, stand, walk, reach, and sit for long periods while using computers and phones. Must provide examinations approximately 80% of the time and may be exposed to communicable diseases, bodily fluids, and medicinal preparations. The position requires travel related to job responsibilities. Benefits Competitive salary up to $68,000.00 based on education and experience.
