System Test Engineer

Company Description

GDH Consulting is looking for a System Test Engineer professional to work with a Fortune 500 company.

Job Description

You will test end-to-end solutions using Spirent and Ixia. A strong knowledge of VMware Hypervisor will be required, as well as networking knowledge equivalent to a CCNA. Data Center knowledge is preferred, but not required. Python or scripting knowledge is a plus. This is a customer facing role in which a successful candidate will:

Consult with customers to author and revise test plans based upon the risk assessment
Perform setup and execution of customer specific tests
Consult with customers regarding the application and interpretation of test results
Perform analysis of network design
Build virtual networks in test labs to resolve more complex problems and issues

Qualifications

Must haves:

Testing background
in depth troubleshooting
customer facing skills
general route/switch technology knowledge, preferably in a data center, but not necessary, especially if testing skills are strong
experience with IXIA and Spirent
