Employment Type: Full-Time Compensation: $40,000 - $45,000 / year About the Role Service Desk Technician I Location: On-Site (~15% travel required) Employment Type: Full-Time Compensation: $40,000 - $45,000 / year About the Role We are looking for a customer-focused Service Desk Technician I to join our Managed Services team at Pique. In this entry-level, on-site role, you will provide technical support to end users across our hospitality-focused client base. If you have foundational IT skills or a background in hospitality/hotel front desk operations and are eager to grow your technical career, this position offers hands‑on troubleshooting, direct user interaction, and ongoing mentorship. (Note: This is an in-office position; remote flexibility is earned over time based on tenure and performance). Key Responsibilities Provide first-line technical support for Windows, macOS, and standard workstation operating systems via phone and tickets. Assist end users with Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and industry-specific hospitality applications. Resolve password resets, MFA issues, email configuration, printing errors, network connectivity, and performance issues. Support basic administrative tasks, user provisioning, and SaaS application connectivity in M365 and Google Workspace. Assist with initial triage for RMM, MDR, EDR, antivirus, and backup alerts under supervisor guidance. Travel up to 15% to client properties to assist with on‑site onboarding, hardware deployment, and user orientation. Maintain active, transparent communication with end users regarding ticket status and resolution steps. Qualifications Foundational understanding of IT concepts, operating systems, cloud apps, and basic networking. Outstanding customer service mindset with clear, patient, and professional verbal communication skills. Comfort answering incoming support calls consistently throughout the shift. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (workstations, servers, printers) and perform team lifts for heavier gear on occasion. Adaptability and comfort working in a fast‑paced environment with changing priorities. Valid Illinois Driver’s License with a clean driving record. Preferred Experience Prior experience on an IT service desk or help desk. Experience in hotel front desk, front office, food & beverage, or other customer-facing hospitality roles. Familiarity with M365, Google Workspace, iOS/Android MDM, and remote monitoring tools.
