About the Job

As the Director of Application Support and Programming, you will lead the strategy, administration, support, and continuous improvement of enterprise applications that enable critical business operations. You will oversee application development, production support, system integrations, records management, and service delivery while ensuring operational excellence, reliability, and innovation.

In this role, you will partner closely with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to align technology solutions with organizational objectives. You will lead a high-performing team responsible for delivering scalable, secure, and efficient application services that drive business value and enhance the member experience.
Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic planning, implementation, support, and optimization of enterprise applications and related technologies.
• Oversee application development, production support, systems integration, records management, and service delivery functions.
• Manage and enhance core processing systems and enterprise platforms to ensure reliability, performance, and security.
• Collaborate with business and technology leaders to define application roadmaps aligned with organizational goals.
• Establish operational standards, processes, and performance metrics to improve service quality and efficiency.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, technology modernization efforts, and application upgrades.
• Lead, mentor, and develop technical teams while fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and customer service.
• Manage vendor relationships and technology partnerships to support application strategy and operational objectives.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies, security requirements, and industry regulations.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that improve business outcomes and operational performance.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience managing database environments, application support, or software development operations.
• 4 years of experience managing or supporting a core processing platform, preferably within a financial services or credit union environment.
• Experience leading technical teams and supervising technology professionals.
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale applications and operational environments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within banking, credit union, or financial services organizations.
• Microsoft certifications.
• Oracle certifications.
• Microsoft SQL Server certifications.
• SQL Database Administration certifications.
• Experience leading enterprise application modernization, integration, or digital transformation initiatives.
• Demonstrated success managing large-scale application support and development teams.
