Ready for your next travel assignment? We’re hiring experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurses for a 13-week travel contract in Susanville, California.

This position offers a guaranteed 36-hour weekly schedule, primarily working 12-hour night shifts. The selected RN will support both the Emergency Department and Medical-Surgical unit, making this an excellent opportunity for a flexible nurse with experience in both areas.

Job Title: Travel RN – Emergency Department

Location: Susanville, California 96130

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Contract Dates: September 21, 2026 – December 19, 2026

Schedule: 36 hours per week

Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Shift Flexibility: The RN may occasionally be required to work day shifts based on departmental needs.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver timely and compassionate nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.

• Assess patients, recognize changes in condition, and prioritize care based on clinical urgency.

• Administer medications, treatments, and emergency interventions according to established protocols.

• Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other members of the clinical care team.

• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.

• Support the Medical-Surgical department when required.

• Follow all hospital safety, infection-control, and patient-care standards.

• Respond effectively in emergency and rapidly changing clinical situations.

Requirements:

• Active and unrestricted California RN license.

• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications.

• Previous Emergency Department and Medical-Surgical nursing experience.

• Comfortable working in both the Emergency Department and Med-Surg unit.

• Willingness to work occasional day shifts when required.

• Completed and signed Meal Waiver and Elder Abuse forms.

• Must meet the facility’s travel-radius requirements.
