This travel X-Ray Tech job in Winchester, VA with Advantis Medical is a 13-week travel X-Ray Tech contract at Winchester Medical Center. This role pays $2,181 per week and follows a Days shift with a 5x8 schedule. In this travel X-Ray Tech job, you will support patient care through specialty-specific clinical services, perform assessments and treatments within your scope of practice, document patient progress, operate relevant medical equipment, and collaborate with physicians and the broader care team to help deliver quality patient outcomes.

Winchester Medical Center is Valley Health's 495-bed flagship and the only Level II Trauma Center in the northern Shenandoah Valley, serving parts of Virginia, West Virginia, and Maryland. The region's only Level II Trauma Center runs a 24/7 trauma bay, a steady source of CT, X-ray, and ultrasound volume. A nationally recognized stroke program pairs with neurosurgery, minimally invasive spine surgery, and neurovascular intervention. The Clyde A. Smith Heart & Vascular Center handles cardiac catheterization, PCI, and cardiothoracic and vascular surgery. Robotic surgery spans general and specialty cases, including robotic-assisted joint replacement for orthopedic techs. A 65,000-square-foot Diagnostic Center runs CT (including cardiac CT), MRI, ultrasound, and X-ray; a Level III NICU and Level 4 Epilepsy Center add neonatal and neuro work, and Epic is the EMR.

Responsibilities

• Perform ordered diagnostic X-ray exams across the assigned caseload
• Position patients and operate radiographic equipment, adjusting technique and collimation for each study
• Apply radiation-safety practices, including exposure optimization and ALARA principles
• Critique images for positioning and exposure quality, minimizing repeat exposures, and provide completed studies to radiologists

Travel X-Ray Tech Requirements:

• 2+ years of recent X-Ray Tech experience.
• Must hold all required certifications and licenses as mandated by Virginia and national regulatory bodies.
