Union New American is currently hiring a Lead Host Coordinator to join our team. Union New American is located in the Westshore City Center in Tampa and is part of the Next Level Brands portfolio. Union New American is the go-to for lunch, dinner and weekend brunch with globally inspired fare. Job Summary The Guest Service Coordinator (Lead Host) is the lead person in charge of delegating responsibilities to the other hosts for the shift. This position will run the reservation board and are anchored at the host stand for the duration of the shift. They are the main point of contact for all other hosts. Our ideal candidate will be highly motivated and passionate about hospitality, food and beverage. We are seeking individuals who have great communication skills, strong work ethic, commitment to excellence and who understand the importance of team work. Experience working in a leadership type role; strong motivator. Passion for creating memorable moments of hospitality for our guests. Strong communication skills to build trusting relationships with peers and Guests. Ability to understand, speak and follow written and verbal instruction in English Strong attention to detail and well organized Excels in a team environment and is viewed as a team player by all Team Members The ability to stay positive and calm under pressure. A strong work ethic and a desire to learn and grow. Must be able to obtain food safety and responsible alcohol service certifications Must be at least 18 years old Physical Requirements Must have sufficient mobility to perform assigned tasks including constant reaching, bending, stooping, wiping, pushing, and pulling for extended periods of time. Must have the ability to lift, push, pull approximately 25lbs. Must be able to stand and/or walk for up to 10 hours during a single shift, while possibly navigating ramps, stairs, and elevators.
