Sentara Medical Group is currently offering a sign on bonus to qualified medical assistants!

Must be either a CMA, CCMA, RMA, or EMT-Basic.

This is a full-time float pool position. Primary work is in Virginia Beach, Norfolk, and Chesapeake. Travel to other areas required based on staffing requests.

Standard working hours: Monday through Friday-8, 10, or 12-hour shifts

Differential pay is provided for the travel and flexibility that is needed for this role.

Perform patient care and administrative/clerical related tasks and procedures based on training, education, and competency evaluations, and as delegated by and under the direction/supervision of the physician, nurse practitioner/physician assistant (NP/PA), registered nurse (RN), or licensed practical nurse (LPN).

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program (preferred)

Certification/Licensure

• Active CMA, CCMA, RMA, or NREMT-Basic (required)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire.

Experience

• 1 year of clinical or administrative experience
• Phlebotomy experience (preferred)
