Supports monthly reconciliation process for Balance Sheet accounts including Cash, A/R, Prepaid expenses, A/P, Accrued expenses, Inter-fund, Inter-district, Deferred revenues, Restricted liabilities, and change in fund balance. Assists with CPA annual Audit preparation and interface, develops and maintains procedures to comply with Governmental Accounting Standards Board rules. Records and reviews journal entry processing related to standard data processing cycles for payroll, accounts payable, and cash receipts. Assists with Agency of Education Data Collection Reporting cycles. Supports fiscal components of grant application processing and compliance with Federal and State requirements, major focus on Consolidated Federal Program grants & related State and Federal monitoring requirements and the Head Start grant fiscal requirements for Early Education Services. Assists with Budget development planning and system configuration and budget assumption documentation. Includes General Operating & Special Education Programs, Capital and Reserve Funds. Supports Business office data processing functions including Accounts Payable & procurement systems, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Human Resources. Oversight of Credit Card procurement and electronic cash receipts (e.g. Square) systems. Other duties as assigned by the Business Administrator. Job Requirements BS in Accounting, Business Administration or related degree. Five years+ accounting and general ledger experience, coursework in accounting. Experience with Audit compliant accounting system and use of Microsoft Office Suite. Effective organizational and interpersonal skills, ability to innovate. Ability to communicate effectively with staff, administration, and community-at-large. At least 5 year(s) of relevant experience preferred. Bachelor degree preferred. Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
