Medical Device Assembler - 6-month Contract

Leading medical devices in Salem, NH is currently seeking for a Medical Device Assembler. This is a 6-month contract opportunity with a possibility of conversion to perm. 

Shift of the Medical Device Assembler:
7:00am-3:30pm

Pay Rate of the Medical Device Assembler:
$23.00/hr

Responsibilities of the Medical Device Assembler:

• Inspect, kit, install, and assemble components of fiber-optic medical products: optical fibers, ferrules, connectors, and packaging components.
• Operate manufacturing test equipment: fiber-optic strippers and cleavers, power meters, oscilloscopes, laser test stations, RFID readers, and microscopes.
• Use bonding materials: epoxies, glues, etc.
• Wear appropriate cleanroom attire, work in a controlled manufacturing area requiring coats, hair and beard nets, gloves, and booties.
• Use generic cleaning liquids (alcohol, isopropanol alcohol, acetone, etc.).
• Maintain cleanliness of work and common areas.
• Cross-train in production process or area as assigned by the Supervisor.
• Meet assigned production metrics as defined by the Supervisor.
• Perform any and all other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
• Perform basic setup, and troubleshooting of equipment as needed.
• Train other assemblers as assigned

Requirements of the Medical Device Assembler:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Perform light manufacturing and use of assembly equipment, such as ultrasonic welder, soldering stations, optical fiber cutters/strippers, screwdrivers, tape measure, wrenches, and other small hand tools.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Microscope experience preferred.
• Minimum of 1-2 Years of related assembly experience.
• Perform tasks and carries out successive steps of routine work in accordance with instructions provided by the supervisor, policies, and procedures; requires instructions only on new assignments.
