Staff Accountant

Century Group is partnering with a client who is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $70,000 to $80,000 per year.
Job Responsibilities:- Assist in general accounting functions including accounts payable/receivable and general ledger maintenance.
- Process transactions accurately and timely and maintain proper aging schedules.
- Assist in month-end closing processes, preparing journal entries, and reconciling bank and general ledger accounts.
- Implement and maintain internal controls and procedures.
- Administer fixed assets, track additions, dispositions, and manage depreciation schedules.
- Assist with annual financial audits, insurance renewals, and end of policy period audits.
- Manage monthly union reporting and maintain city business licenses.
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
- 1 to 5 years of experience in General Accounting.
- Experience in the construction industry is preferred but not mandatory.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial information and support.
