Automation Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Engineer to design, develop, and implement automation solutions across infrastructure and service management platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in scripting, infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, and automation of IT processes. This role requires deep technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate across multiple teams to deliver scalable and secure automation solutions.

Requirement/Must Have:

• Strong scripting and programming skills using Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
• Experience interacting with APIs to automate infrastructure and system operations.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Expertise in configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools for automation and orchestration.
• Proficiency with version control systems such as Git.
• Deep knowledge of ServiceNow platform including architecture, forms, tables, and access controls.
• Experience designing and implementing automated workflows and integrations.
• Strong understanding of ITSM and ITOM processes.
• Experience with virtualization technologies and cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of networking, storage, and virtual machine management.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to test, debug, and validate automation scripts effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain automation scripts and workflows for infrastructure and IT operations.
• Design and implement Infrastructure as Code solutions for consistent and repeatable deployments.
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines for automation and deployment processes.
• Integrate ServiceNow with external systems using APIs and automation tools.
• Automate provisioning and management of virtual machines and infrastructure resources.
• Implement and maintain configuration management processes.
• Collaborate with development and IT teams to identify automation opportunities.
• Ensure security best practices are incorporated into automation solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automation workflows and scripts.
• Continuously improve automation processes and adopt new technologies.

Should Have:

• Experience building self-service catalog items for infrastructure provisioning.
• Familiarity with workflow automation tools and orchestration platforms.
• Experience working in enterprise IT environments.
