Interns will work closely with experienced professionals, contribute to meaningful work, and develop technical and professional skills relevant to their field of study. What You'll Do Research, track, and update operational and performance data to support system reliability and improvement initiatives Assist with analysis of operational events, including Human & Operational Performance (HOP) submissions and trend tracking Support development of reports and tools used for performance monitoring and decision‑making related to Reliability Coordinator integration and operational improvement projects Support project management activities, including tracking milestones, deliverables, and action items Participate in continuous improvement initiatives across transmission and generation operations Education A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required. Experience Proficient skills in Microsoft Office Suite & Outlook Exceptional writing skills and verbal communication Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to structure and manage content effectively Ability to manage multiple assignments and prioritize work to meet deadlines Self‑motivated with strong accountability and ownership of assigned tasks Ability to work independently and effectively in a hybrid or telework environment Additional Requirements and Qualifications The anticipated schedule is 20‑25 hours per week, with the opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week during summer months (school schedule permitting). Training and mentoring on transmission and generation operations, system equipment, and other related principles will be provided. College level coursework (100 or higher) from an accredited institution is preferred. Management will evaluate college‑level coursework individually to determine its applicability to the position and relevance to the required skills. Knowledge in accounting, general administrative principles, communications, marketing, personnel, finance, training, business, and other non‑scientific fields is beneficial. Hybrid Workplace SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, allowing employees whose jobs can be performed remotely and who have sufficient technical capability to telework up to three days per week. All employees must live and work in Arizona.
