Enhance patient care in a specialized long-term care setting as a Pharmacist responsible for ensuring the accuracy and safety of medication orders for skilled nursing facilities, personal care facilities, and hospice patients. This part-time, contract role offers 24 hours per week with a schedule aligned to pharmacy hours from Monday through Friday, 8 am to 6 pm. The assignment is initially for one month with potential extensions based on performance and need.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and verify medication orders entered by data entry technicians, including blister-packed, sterile, and non-sterile medications.
• Respond to clinical inquiries from nursing facilities, hospice nurses, and physicians, providing critical support and guidance.
• Perform controlled substance counts and maintain thorough documentation in the perpetual inventory.
• Inspect and ensure accuracy of emergency medication boxes.
• Utilize operating systems such as QS1, Docutrack, and PCC to manage pharmacy operations efficiently.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy.
• Active pharmacist license registered in the state of Pennsylvania and in good standing.
• At least one year of pharmacy experience, with a preference for long-term care expertise.
• Physical ability to sit and stand for extended periods, demonstrate fine motor skills, visual acuity, and lift up to 30 pounds.
