Project Manager Energy Policy & Markets

NC State University is hiring a Project Manager Energy Policy & Markets to support the Energy Policy & Markets Program of the NC Clean Energy Technology Center. The role includes managing energy policy research projects, engaging with external partners, developing project proposals, and conducting analysis for various initiatives like DSIRE and Carolinas DASH. Highlights Manage energy policy research and fee-for-service analysis projects, including client relationship management. Engage with stakeholders via presentations, meetings, social media, and written analyses. Develop and maintain partnerships with organizations such as non-profits, utilities, and government agencies. Lead grant proposal development and business development efforts. Conduct research and update entries for the Database of State Incentives for Renewables and Efficiency (DSIRE) and related projects. Coordinate project deliverables, workplans, timelines, and ensure compliance with grant requirements. Required skills include strong knowledge of federal, state, and local energy policies, regulatory frameworks, and utility markets. Must have a bachelor's degree in relevant fields and at least three years of professional experience; senior level requires five years. Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree, experience in energy modeling, clean energy policy, and grant writing.
