Job Summary:

As a Laundry Aide, you will play a vital role in ensuring our facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner. This full-time position is ideal for individuals who are detail-oriented, organized, and possess excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Collect, sort, wash, and dry linens and other garments as directed
• Count and distribute daily clean linen and garments
• Wash personal clothing of residents who request this service
• Maintain the laundry room in a clean and orderly manner; clean when necessary
• Transport laundry to and from resident rooms, laundry, and other locations as directed
• Comply with all policies and procedures related to safety and infection control
• Report hazardous conditions or equipment to the Director of Support Services
• Understand and comply with all rules and regulations regarding resident rights
• Promote positive relationships with residents and visitors
• Communicate and interact effectively with residents, visitors, families, staff, and supervisors

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Related experience at a level necessary to perform in the role
• Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written directions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrate leadership, organizational skills, and ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

This position generally requires physical activity, and may at times require walking to various locations within the facility. This position routinely uses standard office equipment, such as computers and phones, and may require some use of machinery consistent with the job duties.
