Bistro Waitstaff - Seasonal

Seasonal Bistro Staff Position

Responsible for performing Bistro duties such as handling cash register at front counter when needed; able to balance register at the end of shift, perform daily "side work" cleaning and prepping for opening and closing shifts. Be able to take orders from customers and deliver food orders timely; deliver and serve draft beer and limited cocktails while providing epic customer service at all times. Staff must be able to work with a changing schedule weekly over the seven days per week while the Bistro is open, while under the direct supervision of the Bistro Managers.

Performance Objectives

• Ability to read a limited number of two and three syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk or hear, and taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus, and ability to see colors.

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
