Purchasing Agent

Worldwide Distributor and Manufacturer of Irrigation equipment, with 70 years of experience in the irrigation industry. T-L Irrigation Co. is looking for a qualified individual to join its purchasing department. This candidate would identify, qualify and develop relationships with vendors or suppliers. Duties would include: Purchase raw materials including structural and coil steel, tires, rims, and gears. Place purchase orders, tracking orders, expediting orders and scheduling deliveries Verifying the key suppliers for each procurement – supplier evaluation Monitoring and forecasting inventory, determining purchasing needs and identify costs Establishing quality control and ensuring that bought items meets company standards Preparing cost estimates as needed Compiling and maintaining purchase records, supplier databases and procurement contracts Negotiating prices with suppliers to keep material prices as low as possible.
