As the Speech Therapist in Home Health, your responsibilities include assessment and evaluation of patient care needs related to speech and language disorders, and functional training in communication, swallowing, and cognitive impairments. You will develop treatment plans, perform interventions aimed at improving patients’ well‑being, and evaluate progress. Primary Responsibilities Provides services within the scope of practice as defined by state laws governing speech therapy, in accordance with the plan of care, and in coordination with other members of the health‑care team. Evaluates the patient’s level of function by applying diagnostic and prognostic functional ability tests; assists the physician in developing the therapy plan of care. Treats patients to communicate effectively by expressing thoughts in accordance with the patient’s condition and acceptable standards of practice. Observes, records, and reports the patient’s response to treatment and changes in condition to the supervising nurse and/or physician. Instructs the patient, family, caregiver, and other health‑care team members in areas of speech therapy in which they can participate. Required Qualifications Licensed in Speech Therapy in the state of residence. Current CPR certification. Current driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation. Benefits Pay is based on several factors including, but not limited to, local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase, and 401(k) contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Salary for this role ranges from $71,200 to $127,200 annually based on full‑time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
