Electrical Engineer

Electrical Engineer – Pittsburgh (Cheswick) Salary: $75,000 - 100,000 per year (PA-based guideline). Responsibilities Design and interact with shop floor personnel to resolve electrical insulation and electro‑mechanical component issues in the manufacture of pumps, motors, and generators. Assist in the design of insulating systems used in pumping, motor, and generator equipment. Prepare schedules for accomplishing tasks within estimates. Create documents and reports to publish and present technical information. Work with highly technical teams to design and analyze products for development and production. Assess insulation designs and conduct tests such as partial discharge, voltage endurance, and thermal endurance. Develop insulation projects, manage experiments to collect data, interpret results, and coordinate solutions. Qualifications U.S. citizen required; must be able to obtain and maintain DoD security clearances. Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent background in Chemistry). 3+ years’ experience in electrical engineering, ideally with rotating equipment and insulation systems. Working knowledge of electric motor design tools is highly desired.
