Job summary: Under general supervision, distributes either production or non – production items and materials to various location throughout the plant. Materials may consist of purchased parts and in process parts, return-to-stock parts among other materials. Responsibilities: Maintains Inventory Accuracy – Moves parts, WIP or finished product and delivers mail packages to various department locations and/or warehouse locations. Operates various material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, rolling carts or forklifts. Maintains the required documentation of all parts and materials moved in accordance with the specified procedures. Drives in various road conditions, small roadways, highways. Ensures work areas and other designated work areas are maintained in a safe and neat manner. Ensure all material and inventory remains properly identified and stored free from damage or deterioration. Assists with the training and instruction of new employees who may be assigned to this area. Set work priorities to meet production goals as scheduled per assigned department. Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those in contact on a day-to-day basis. **** **** The above list of responsibilities is not exhaustive, and you may be required to undertake other responsibilities and/or training as requested by your line manager or supervisor. Requirements: Three (3) years- experience in warehouse environment Forklift experience preferred. Attention to detail. Proficient in computer use for data entry, part scanning or transacting, printing of picklist and schedule review. Meet minimum standards of safety and housekeeping per assigned department. Have a valid Ohio Driver’s License. Ability to read metric tape measures and use measuring devices. Ability to perform all operations within acceptable inventory accuracy, quality and time standards. Must have the ability to read, write, and perform mathematical computations at a level required for successful job performance.
