Position Overview We are hiring an Intermediate Architectural Designer/Project Manager who is creative, accountable, self‑motivated, highly organized, detail‑oriented, personable, and an effective communicator. Candidates should have at least five years of professional experience in an architectural office, covering all design and drawing phases and on‑site observation of construction. The role is collaborative, fast‑paced, and dynamic, which offers the opportunity to contribute to all project phases and grow within a small studio environment. Responsibilities Support Principal and Managing Principal in developing design concepts. Prepare and coordinate architectural drawings using Vectorworks, 3D models with SketchUp, renderings, and specifications to meet project requirements under general supervision. Manage supporting staff and coordinate cross‑departmentally. Prepare presentation packages and assist in internal and external presentations to clients, consultants and contractors. Research materials and products, consulting with manufacturers, vendors and contractors to recommend appropriate design solutions. Implement building codes, zoning ordinances and coordinate with governing agencies. Assist in construction administration, including responding to RFIs, preparing bulletins, visiting construction sites, coordinating with contractors and sub‑contractors, and preparing punch lists. Qualifications Professional degree: BArch or MArch. Proficiency with CAD drafting, 3D modeling/rendering skills (Vectorworks, SketchUp). Strong technical and graphic communication skills. Ability to take direction and work harmoniously in a collaborative team‑oriented environment. Curiosity and eagerness to learn, grow, and take on new challenges. Time‑management skills: prioritize and manage tasks against deadlines. High level of organization and attention to detail. Legal authorization to work in the U.S.; current residency in Los Angeles within reasonable proximity to office; valid driver’s license. Fully vaccinated for COVID‑19. Additional Information Location: Los Angeles, CA (in‑office). The role requires frequent on‑site visits during construction and is not a remote position. Full‑time, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Salary will be commensurate with experience and skills, with benefits per standard company policies.
