Early Childhood Mental Health Program Manager

Early Childhood Mental Health Program Manager OBJECTIVES: Reporting to the Assistant Director- Clinic, the Early Childhood Mental Health Program Manager (P+ECMH) oversees, supervises, and supports all aspects of clinical work required to fulfill Northside’s contract with the Department of Health and Mental Health (DOHMH). Northside Center is the DOHMH’s office NYC Manhattan Borough provider for Perinatal + Early Childhood Mental Health Services. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Provide clinical and reflective supervision for mental health clinicians, interns, and other staff (as needed), including review of documentation. Track staff productivity and ensure individual and departmental productivity goals are met, as well as ensuring DOHMH service level goals are met. Ensure all staff documentation is completed in a timely fashion, including outcome assessments. Complete P+ECMH/clinic administrative tasks, including a. Maintaining and reviewing high-risk client list. b. Review intake list, clinician caseloads, and assign clients. c. Ensure review of PSYCKES d. Submit incident case presentation for monthly HR committee meeting e. Verbal and written warnings for staff failing to meet role expectations f. Submit monthly and quarterly program report to DOHMH g. Complete ADP for all supervisees h. Other administrative tasks, as needed Hire and train new staff members as needed. Work with Behavioral Health Administrative Coordinator and Assistant Director-Clinic to ensure timely submission of reports to DOHMH. Collaborate with the Assistant Director-Clinic, other Program Coordinators/Managers, intake department, medical department psychiatric department, and quality assurance team to provide best practice clinical services in compliance with OMH regulations. Establish strong working relationships with Perinatal and Early Childhood community, as well as general East Harlem community. Must provide evening coverage of the clinic at least once per week, as well as respond to after-hours crisis calls (on rotation with other Program Coordinators/Managers). Must be willing to attend community events as needed. Must participate in all internal agency and external meetings, as needed. SPECIFIC SKILLS : Deep understanding of HIPAA, FERPA, and professional ethical guidelines. Ability to provide services that respect diverse backgrounds and identities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with all staff, clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams. Proficient in the following applications: Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Forms, Teams), Zoom, Doxy.me, and electronic health records. Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred but not required. QUALIFICATIONS : Must hold a valid clinical license in the State of New York such as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or a doctoral degree in psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.). Expertise in early childhood development (birth-five), early childhood mental health, and perinatal mental health Experience with early childhood mental health evidenced based models (i.e., Child Parent Psychotherapy, Circle of Security parenting, Triple P, Parent Child Interaction Therapy, etc.) Experience with perinatal mental health evidenced based models (i.e. Perinatal CPP, Perinatal IPT, FAN, etc.) Experience providing clinical, reflective supervision Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop collaborative working relationships Excellent time management and organizational skills Willingness to travel to sites including Satellite clinics, DOHMH, and other sites, as needed.
