Job Description

Functioning within the Health System's mission, vision, values, policies, and procedures, the Registered Nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for the care of assigned patients on his/her shift. RN responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care using age-specific criteria. Judgments are made based upon scientific knowledge and clinical skills. The RN also assists in planning, directing, and teaching non-RN staff such as LPNs, PCTs, and Unit Secretaries. Must demonstrate flexibility with work schedule changes.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Utilize age-specific criteria for patient care.
• Provide direction and education to non-RN staff.
• Assist in first assist and scrub roles in obstetrics.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2+ years of OB experience - required.
• Must have completed at least 1 travel assignment - required.
• Nursys must show Active Ohio or Compact RN License - required.
• Active American Heart Association BLS - required.
• Active American Heart Association ACLS - required.
• Active Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification - required.
• Active S.T.A.B.L.E. Certification - required.
• Active Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) Certification - required.
