Weekend RN Supervisor

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced nursing professional to provide leadership and clinical oversight during weekend operations. In this role, you will help ensure high-quality, compassionate care while supporting nursing staff, coordinating patient care needs, and maintaining a safe, efficient care environment. This position is ideal for a nurse who brings strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative approach to team leadership. Responsibilities Oversee nursing operations and provide supervision to staff during assigned weekend shifts. Support clinical decision-making and serve as a resource for patient care concerns. Monitor patient conditions, review care plans, and ensure timely escalation of changes in status. Coordinate with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, and oncoming leadership to support continuity of care. Assist with staffing coverage, assignments, and workflow prioritization as needed. Promote adherence to facility policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory standards. Respond to urgent situations and help guide appropriate interventions. Provide coaching, guidance, and support to nursing staff to encourage safe and effective practice. Help maintain accurate documentation and ensure communication is clear and timely. Support a positive, respectful, and patient-centered care environment. Qualifications Current and active registered nursing licensure in the applicable state. Experience in a clinical nursing role, with prior leadership or charge nurse experience preferred. Strong assessment skills and the ability to make sound clinical decisions under pressure. Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Familiarity with regulatory requirements, quality standards, and safe nursing practices. Proficiency with clinical documentation systems and routine nursing workflows.
