Are you HARIBO?The Procurement Buyer, as a member of our Procurement team, recommends and develops strategic purchasing strategies for their assigned area, or category. As a member of our Procurement team and larger Supply Chain team, this role will be involved in sourcing and purchasing for both Indirect and Direct procurement. Indirect including services, office equipment, software, supplies, etc. and Direct including raw materials used for manufacturing such as ingredients, packaging materials, and manufacturing equipment.The Procurement Buyer will be located on-site at the HARIBO factory offices in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, this role will also make visits to our corporate office in Rosemont, Illinois.The ideal Procurement Buyer candidate will have experience in both Indirect and Direct procurement, having worked directly for a manufacturer – ideally in the food, pharma, or consumer goods industry. Are you HARIBO?ResponsibilitiesManage the entire contract lifecycle for procurement and purchasing for assigned area, including drafting the agreement, reviewing, negotiating terms and prices, and approving and executing the final signed contactAs a member of our Procurement team and larger Supply Chain team, this role will be involved in sourcing and purchasing for both Indirect and Direct procurementManage end-to-end strategic sourcing process for both Indirect procurement (services, office equipment, software, etc) and Direct procurement (raw materials including ingredients used in manufacturing and packaging, manufacturing equipment, etc) for HARIBO of AmericaPerform cost benefit analysis and determine opportunities for savingsOptimize supplier relationships, ensure proper lead-times to meet business needsConduct day-to-day purchasing for multiple departments for HARIBO of AmericaQualificationsBachelor's Degree2+ years of work experience in procurement and buying / purchasing roles to include sourcing new vendors, analyzing costs, market analysis, ensuring proper-lead times with suppliers, and reviewing terms and pricesPrior use of ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Blue Yonder, or other ERP systemsPreferred QualificationsPrior experience with BOTH Indirect and Direct procurement. This role will be involved in purchasing for both Indirect and Direct.The ideal candidate will have experience in both Indirect and Direct procurement, having worked directly for a manufacturer – ideally in the food, pharma, or consumer goods industry.Experience drafting RFPs and sourcing new vendorsAbility to travel locally from Pleasant Prairie, WI factory offices to Rosemont, IL corporate offices, occasionally as neededAbility to travel domestically or even globally if neededSAP experienceSkillsIntermediate to advanced Excel skillsStrong communication skills – both verbal and writtenInternal customer service mindsetDemonstrated understanding of procurement trends and legal terms as they relate to purchasing contracts and framework agreementsHARIBO of America, Inc. is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer and maintains a Drug-Free Workplace.
