*Ambulance Operator - Paramedic (24 hour shift)

The Job San Bernardino County Fire Protection District is an all‑risk/full‑service fire department committed to high‑quality service. We are hiring Ambulance Operator (AO) Paramedics to provide basic and advanced medical care to ill and injured patients and to operate ambulances responding to emergency medical calls. Benefits include a competitive annual salary range of $77,342.72 – $91,952.64 with built‑in overtime pay, hiring bonus up to $2,000, referral bonus up to $750, and bilingual compensation of $50 per pay period. Minimum Requirements Valid California Paramedic License or Nationally Registered Paramedic (NRP) Certification with a copy submitted. Valid CPR card. Valid ACLS card. Valid California Class C Driver License and proof of automobile liability insurance. ICEMA Paramedic accreditation obtained by end of academy, maintained thereafter. Completion of Ambulance Driver Taskbook by end of academy. Meet health, physical, and fitness standards. Pass background investigation, fingerprinting, drug test, and medical examination. Willingness to work anywhere within San Bernardino County. Desired Qualifications Team players with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to remain calm under pressure, strong integrity, and empathy for patients under duress. Conditions of Employment Health and physical conditions meet department standards. Maintain CPR, ACLS, and ICEMA certifications. Maintain valid Class C driver license and insurance. Comply with dress code prohibiting visible tattoos. Work schedule may include 56‑hour workweeks with overtime. Handle high‑stress situations and lift heavy equipment.
