Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking a skilled Emergency Room Registered Nurse for a winter contract with options for 13 or 18 weeks. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality emergency care, float as needed, and adhere to safety and compliance standards.

Responsibilities:

• Provide advanced emergency nursing care to patients in a fast-paced ER environment.
• Float between units or facilities, supporting high-risk respiratory or COVID care teams as assigned.
• Complete required documentation and utilize Epic electronic health records accurately.
• Maintain compliance with certification requirements, including ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and CPI/AVADE/CalmEveryStorm.
• Work every other weekend and holiday shifts, including night hours from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure timely completion of mandatory orientation and license requirements.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Ohio Registered Nurse License or a compact nursing license.
• Possess at least 1.5 years of recent Emergency Department experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Epic charting and electronic health records.
• Complete required certifications: ACLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI/AVADE/CalmEveryStorm.
• Be flexible to float within hospital units and support various patient care needs.
• Be available to work every other weekend and holiday shifts, including nights.
