Registered Nurse - ICU

Job Description

Job Summary:

Seeking a qualified Registered Nurse specialized in ICU to provide expert critical care services. This role requires delivering patient-centered care and ensuring safety within a busy ICU environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor patients' conditions regularly to identify changes and adjust care plans accordingly.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions following physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement personalized patient care plans.
• Document clinical observations, interventions, and patient responses accurately in electronic medical records.
• Educate patients and their families on treatment options, procedures, and post-discharge care instructions.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, infection control protocols, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

• Valid Ohio license or compact state license in hand at the time of submission.
• Minimum of 18 months of recent ICU experience, preferably within a single facility.
• Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required; certifications must be current and in hand.
• Demonstrate excellent clinical skills, including ECG rhythm recognition and medication administration safety.
• Ability to work a rotating 12-hour day/night shift schedule, including every other holiday.
• Successful passing of ECG rhythm recognition and SafeMedicate assessments during orientation with acceptable scores.
