About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Malone Healthcare to find a qualified Telemetry RN in Antioch, California, 94509!

• Deliver and coordinate care for acutely ill adult and geriatric patients requiring cardiac monitoring on a hybrid telemetry/med-surg post surgical unit
• Continuously monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient status
• Administer IV cardiac medications and drips including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Heparin, and Insulin drips
• Address physiological, psychosocial, safety, learning, and self-care needs of patients and their families
• Apply knowledge of physiology, pathophysiology, nursing process, and technology to guide clinical decision-making
• Float to other telemetry or med-surg units within the facility based on operational needs

• Active California Registered Nurse (RN) License - must be verified via Nursys upload within the last 2 weeks
• ACLS Certification (AHA or ARC) required
• BLS Certification (AHA or ARC) required
• EKG Interpretation proficiency required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Prior travel nurse experience preferred; candidates must be comfortable caring for telemetry patients independently
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible (local candidates may be considered at a local rate)

• Previous experience as a travel nurse in a telemetry or med-surg setting
• Familiarity with SCU or hybrid telemetry/med-surg unit environments
• Experience administering a broad range of IV cardiac and vasoactive medications
• Comfort with floating to multiple units within a hospital system
