Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSummary of Position:The Patient Service Technician (PST) is responsible for delivering, setting up, and maintaining medical equipment in patients’ homes. This role involves instructing patients and caregivers on proper equipment use while ensuring compliance with all company policies and regulatory standards. The PST must maintain a high level of professionalism and provide excellent customer service. This position requires participation in an on-call rotation, including evenings and weekends.Key Responsibilities:Safely operate a company vehicle to deliver and pick up medical equipmentLoad and unload equipment in accordance with safety proceduresVerify delivery loads against shipping documentationPrepare receipts and maintain accurate delivery recordsPrioritize and coordinate daily routes efficientlyEducate patients and caregivers on equipment setup and proper useMaintain up-to-date knowledge of all equipment and services offeredEnsure all returned equipment is properly cleaned, bagged, and taggedComplete required paperwork, including patient signatures and billing documentationMaintain driver logs in compliance with DOT, FDA, and OSHA regulationsCommunicate regularly with the Branch Manager regarding route status and issuesFollow infection control and hazardous material handling protocolsPerform daily vehicle inspections and basic roadside maintenance if neededAdhere to all company safety policies and proceduresParticipate in on-call rotation as requiredQualifications:Education:High School Diploma or equivalentExperience:Minimum of 1 year delivery experience preferredDurable Medical Equipment (DME) or Home Health experience preferredSkills:Strong organizational skillsEffective written and verbal communicationAbility to follow written and verbal instructionsExcellent customer service and interpersonal skillsRequirements:Valid state-issued driver’s license (CDL may be required)Clean driving record (limited violations/accidents)Must meet DOT age and regulatory requirementsAbility to read, write, and follow instructionsPhysical Requirements:Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment up to 150 lbsCapable of frequent physical activity including loading/unloading equipmentWork Schedule:Full-timeOn-call availability required (evenings and weekends, rotating schedule)Why Join Us?Competitive payOpportunity to make a meaningful impact in patients’ livesSupportive team environmentGrowth opportunities within the healthcare field
