Job Title: MRI Tech Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: MRI Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (18:30 - 07:00) Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: NC or Compact license pending ok for submittal Certifications: BLS, ARRT MR, ARRT R Must-Have: Traveler experience required Unit will not accept first-time travelers Skills: Abdomen Pelvis Head and neck Spine Musculoskeletal Diffusion (non-brain) Gradient echo imaging MIP MRP Peripheral magnetic resonance Spin echo images Surface coils T1 and T2 CINE Description: RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite. Any call-offs or additional RTO on the unit could result in cancellation and no rehire. The expected start date is based on the schedule but is subject to change depending on class and trainer availability. Travelers may start on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday of the first week. Travelers must be fully available with no other commitments to accommodate schedule changes. Missing any portion of orientation may result in a delayed or canceled start. Confirmation of the final start date will occur on the Tuesday prior to the start week. Contract staff will be assigned to work a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team. Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event or disaster. Candidate must have preferred patient group familiarity which includes adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Special equipment used includes GE and Siemens. Unit systems utilized are for medication, documentation, and communication. Daily census and visit numbers are based on unit needs. All candidates must be open to floating within or near the facility as per job description. Travel pairs are allowed if they are on different units and disclosed. References can be pending at submission. Pre-start modules must be completed online before starting.
